How voting works

Step 1

Wait for your letter

If you are on the voters’ list, a Voter Information Letter arrives by mail in early October. It carries the Personal Identification Number (PIN) you need.

Step 2

Vote online or by phone

From 10 a.m. on October 20 until 8 p.m. on October 26, enter your PIN and your full date of birth to open your ballot. You can vote from any computer, tablet or phone.

Step 3

Need a hand? Walk in

Election Assistance Centres and every Clarington Public Library branch can help you vote or fix the voters’ list. Bring valid identification if you need to add your name.

Retirement residences and long term care

On October 26, election assistance is brought directly to residents of White Cliffe Terrace, Clarington Place, Bowmanville Creek Retirement Community, Vedanta Living Bowmanville, Lakeridge Health Bowmanville, Glen Hill Gardens and Fosterbrooke. These visits are for residents of those buildings and are not open to the public. Staff there will post the times.
